An Off Grid magical experience. Nestled in the hillside is The Bothy, a perfectly blissful retreat for two people. You have no neighbours except for our Highland Cows, but don’t worry, The Bothy is fenced off so you can enjoy the cows without them getting too close!

We’ve located The Bothy in a secluded part of our land. There are no neighbours and you’re unlikely to see anybody, unless you want to of course. An Off Grid experience with no TV and no wifi (don’t worry, there is a phone signal with 4g). A good book is recommended to curl up with on the sofa or out on the deck to the soundtrack of the birds.

We’ve recently installed a quaint and quirky cabin kitchen, electric shower and fantastic, designer decor including Barnaby Gates and Andrew Martin; created in collaboration with interior designer Lorna Forbes @ The Furniture Barn!

Downstairs is open plan where you can move seamlessly between the kitchen and living areas. The bifold doors at the front of the cabin and the stable door at the back allow the light and fresh air to flood and give you 360 degree views of the stunning countryside which surrounds you. Glance up to your luxurious mezzanine bedroom with stunning headboard, king size bed and rustic yet lush furniture.

The Hikki hot tub right outside on the front deck is a true luxury and perfect for a candlelit soak together whilst marvelling at the starry skies or magnificent views.

Where will you cook your meal ? Inside on the double hob, use the SAGE mini oven, in the wood fired stove oven, the BBQ or even use the grill over the Hikki Fire Pit. You’ll find everything you need to prepare a hearty meal at The Bothy.

Heating is provided by the wood burning stove making the The Bothy super cosy. All your wood is provided as well as lush bed linen, towels, bath mats, organic body wash, shampoo and hand soap and bathrobes. The Bothy has an eco toilet and an electric shower in separate rooms.

Hiking is in abundance from The Bothy; just open your front or back door and head into the Menteith hills where you might never see another soul.

“A warm welcome from the owners. The wood burner had been lit for us and our bottle of mulled cider warmed, so we were pleased from the off. The views are incredible from this vantage point above the farm. We were expecting basic Bothy Style accommodation, but in fact it is far more than that. Everything is there to make for a comfortable stay. Sitting on the veranda soaking up the peace and tranquility is why we came. We will definitely be back.”
