Inside Merlin

The studio features an open-plan living space with a breakfast bar, a Smart TV, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The sleeping area features a king-size bed draped in organic cotton linens, creating a calm, comfortable space for a restful night’s sleep.

The modern shower room features a spacious walk-in shower, a heated towel rail, fluffy towels, and bathrobes. Guests can prepare simple meals using the kitchenette, which includes a double electric hob, mini oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge with freezer box, and a full set of cookware and utensils.

Outdoor spaces and shared areas

Merlin guests can enjoy several quiet outdoor spots around the farm. Take a seat by the pond and watch the sunset, or fire up the BBQ for an easy outdoor meal. There’s also access to The Pantry deck, where you can sit under cover, wrap yourself in a cosy blanket and take in the views.

Starting in spring 2026, guests will also be able to enjoy a shared woodland recreation area, providing another peaceful place to spend time outdoors.

A great base for exploring

Merlin is a popular choice for guests visiting the area for hiking, local events or a few days away from the pace of everyday life. From the doorstep, you can walk, run or cycle directly into the Menteith Hills, with scenic routes leading across the hills and towards the Lake of Menteith.

For dining out, award-winning local restaurants are just a short drive away. On quieter evenings, guests can order from our Dine In menu, with home-cooked meals prepared on site and ready to enjoy back at the studio.

The Pantry and farm amenities

Guests staying at Merlin have access to The Nether Glenny Pantry, our cosy shared cabin space with a log fire and relaxed seating. Inside, you’ll find tea, coffee, classic board games, outdoor blankets, snacks, soft drinks, local gifts and Highland cow-themed items available to purchase.
