Kestrel is a white stone cottage at Nether Glenny Farm, offering a peaceful and comfortable stay for two guests. Formerly part of the original barn, it has been carefully converted into dog-friendly self-catering accommodation, with exceptional views from every room across the surrounding hills and landscape.

Inside Kestrel

Kestrel has a stylish double bedroom, a cosy sitting room with a wood-burning stove, and a bright conservatory dining room that makes the most of the stunning lake and hillside views.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxed self-catering stay, including a washing machine. The modern bathroom includes both a shower and a bath, with underfloor heating to keep things warm and comfortable in every season.

Views, light and outdoor space

One of Kestrel’s finest features is its south-facing patio, accessed directly from the dining room through patio doors. With a small table and lounge chairs, it’s an ideal place to enjoy morning coffee, watch the sunrise and sunset, or simply sit wrapped in a cosy blanket and take in the views.

Guests often comment on the sense of calm here, with the changing light and quiet rhythm of country life creating a space that’s easy to settle into.

The Pantry and shared spaces

Guests staying at Kestrel have access to The Nether Glenny Pantry, our cosy shared cabin space complete with a log fire and relaxed seating. Inside, you’ll find board games, books, tea, coffee, biscuits and tasty snacks, along with blankets to use on the deck.

From spring 2026, guests will also be able to enjoy our shared woodland recreation area, offering another quiet space to relax during your stay.
